SUMMARY:Introduction to Healthy Beginnings June 16
DESCRIPTION:This class is designed for any family who is preparing to welcome or has recently welcomed newborns and infants into their lives through pregnancy\, kinship care\, fostering or adoption. \nThis one-hour workshop is an introduction to a 4-week class that will be offered at the Family Nurturing Center later this summer\, as soon as it’s safe for us to be physically together. \nNothing inspires us to institute a change in our health and wellness like crossing the threshold into a new period of marking time. It is even more evident when the new season is the welcoming of a child into our lives. \nThis introductory workshop provides an overview of the Healthy Beginnings Program and explores the core concepts of bonding\, communication\, and the creation of healthy environments that support the health and wellness of children and families. We explore the importance of supporting each child in their individual trajectory of development and setting them up to thrive.
