DESCRIPTION:This training is 9am-4pm Central Time\n\nParticipants will learn:\n\n\nThe philosophy of Nurturing Parenting.\nThe five parenting constructs of abuse/neglect.\nThe impact of maltreatment on brain development.\nHow to assess high-risk parenting beliefs.\nTo tailor-make programs based on family’s needs.\nTo gather process evaluation data.\nTo evaluate pre-post program impact.\nTo implement home\, group program models.\n\nCarol Lapin\, MSSW\, has been teaching\, training\, and sharing the philosophy and skills of the Nurturing Parenting Programs® for adults\, children\, and adolescents since 1996. In 1998 she received the recognition of Dr. Stephen Bavolek\, principal author of the programs\, as a National Trainer and Consultant in the Nurturing Parenting Programs®. \nPayment Information: \n\nFor mail-in payments\, we ask all participants to download the Nurturing Parenting Facilitator Training form and mail the completed form with payment to:\n\nFamily Nurturing Center\nAttn:  Carol Lapin\n5 Spiral Drive\, Suite 100\nFlorence\, KY  41042 \n\nNo refunds within one week before the training date.  There will be a $25 cancellation fee per registrant. \nThis event is 9am-4pm Central Time

SUMMARY:Tai Chi with Susan February 24
DESCRIPTION:Tai Chi is a calming and center practice that allows for redirection of feelings to a healthier place. This practice uses physical movement to focus and mange stress. It also aids in recovery and in maintaining a healthy body and mind. Each week the individuals will learn basic Tai Chi Principles\, how to safely perform the forms\, and how they can be used as a form of stress reduction. Each individual will “own” the forms to carry with them to any place for their use. \nEach class can be a stand alone\, you do not have to register for all Tai Chi classes.
