DESCRIPTION:This training is 9:30am-4:30pm Eastern Time\n\nParticipants will learn:\n\n\nThe philosophy of Nurturing Parenting.\nThe five parenting constructs of abuse/neglect.\nThe impact of maltreatment on brain development.\nHow to assess high-risk parenting beliefs.\nTo tailor-make programs based on family’s needs.\nTo gather process evaluation data.\nTo evaluate pre-post program impact.\nTo implement home\, group program models.\n\nCarol Lapin\, MSSW\, has been teaching\, training\, and sharing the philosophy and skills of the Nurturing Parenting Programs® for adults\, children\, and adolescents since 1996. In 1998 she received the recognition of Dr. Stephen Bavolek\, principal author of the programs\, as a National Trainer and Consultant in the Nurturing Parenting Programs®. \nPayment Information: \n\nFor mail-in payments\, we ask all participants to download the Nurturing Parenting Facilitator Training form and mail the completed form with payment to:\n\nFamily Nurturing Center\nAttn:  Carol Lapin\n5 Spiral Drive\, Suite 100\nFlorence\, KY  41042 \n\nNo refunds within one week before the training date.  There will be a $25 cancellation fee per registrant. \nThis event is 9:30am-4:30pm Eastern Time

SUMMARY:Support of Silence for KIDS Community Training (Kenton County Library - Erlanger Branch)
DESCRIPTION:Support Over Silence for K.I.D.S. uses the “K.I.D.S. Framework” to encourage adults to resist the bystander effect and provide support for those around them. Have you ever been in public and wanted to be helpful to caregivers and children? Then this training is for you! An empathy driven program with a proven approach that is designed to be action-oriented. The training features a story telling model to identify ways to help others in stressful and awkward situations and successfully de-escalate situations. \nThis training will be held at the Kenton County Library Erlanger branch in the Charlotte room.
