DESCRIPTION:This training is 9:30am-4:30pm Eastern Time\n\nParticipants will learn:\n\n\nThe philosophy of Nurturing Parenting.\nThe five parenting constructs of abuse/neglect.\nThe impact of maltreatment on brain development.\nHow to assess high-risk parenting beliefs.\nTo tailor-make programs based on family’s needs.\nTo gather process evaluation data.\nTo evaluate pre-post program impact.\nTo implement home\, group program models.\n\nCarol Lapin\, MSSW\, has been teaching\, training\, and sharing the philosophy and skills of the Nurturing Parenting Programs® for adults\, children\, and adolescents since 1996. In 1998 she received the recognition of Dr. Stephen Bavolek\, principal author of the programs\, as a National Trainer and Consultant in the Nurturing Parenting Programs®. \nPayment Information: \n\nFor mail-in payments\, we ask all participants to download the Nurturing Parenting Facilitator Training form and mail the completed form with payment to:\n\nFamily Nurturing Center\nAttn:  Carol Lapin\n5 Spiral Drive\, Suite 100\nFlorence\, KY  41042 \n\nNo refunds within one week before the training date.  There will be a $25 cancellation fee per registrant. \nThis event is 9:30am-4:30pm Eastern Time

DESCRIPTION:November is a season that naturally invites us to slow down and notice the good around us. In this class participants will explore how practicing gratitude can help shift our focus from what is missing or difficult to bringing meaning and joy into our lives. Using mixed media materials participants will create personalized gratitude collages filled with words and images representing thankfulness. Gratitude doesn’t mean everything is perfect – it means learning to notice the good that exists alongside the hard.
