Kids can do yoga too! The healing benefits of breathing and moving can be adapted to children who’ve experienced trauma. While a children’s class often looks different from an adults class, they can still learn yogic ideas, postures, and breath work to help soothe, find resiliency and settle a busy mind. This short 30 minute class built for ages 4-8 will use story books, games and songs. I’ll use different props such as a Hoberman sphere to display breath and even make calm jars together to display settling the mind and meditation. All the techniques and ideas found in this class can be used as tools to help heal trauma for our most valued small humans.
