The Art of Wellness: Storytellers, with Kami Lerma November 17

Expression and creativity are powerful ways to heal and build resilience. There is also great power that comes from documenting your story and living your life out loud. This 8-week workshop combines the two into one meaningful experience. Through journaling prompts and meditations, you will be guided through the creation of your personalized art journal or scrapbook that tells your story like no one else can with the end result being a one-of-a-kind book that celebrates you, your journey thus far, and the days that are yet to come. No need for an artistic background, just a childlike spirit and a willingness to explore. For this class you will need a notebook, journal or loose-leaf paper and basic art supplies such as papers, writing utensils and adhesive. You’ll also want a printed photograph of yourself. Optional are paints, inks, colored pencils, stickers and embellishments, textiles, additional photos and a scrapbook or art journal.
