Working Horse Farm Visits August 28

These are single visits (registrants can attend more than once, however) and will require signing of a liability release agreement at Family Nurturing Center prior to the visit.
Lookout Hills working horse farm visits provide a safe, fun environment in which promotes self-confidence, responsibility and leadership skills. These skills are known to help people healing from trauma a solid foundation from which to grow.
Registrants will meet Lookout Hills’ gentle Tenn Walking horses and two friendly barn cats. They will learn to be gentle with animals, how to care for the horses and how to stay safe when in the company of horses. Additionally, they will have an opportunity to pet, lead, groom, feed and hay the horses as well as learn about coat colors, face and leg markings and anatomy basics. Most exciting, they will get to saddle, bridle and ride a horse! All helmets and horse equipment are provided and riding will be done in an indoor arena where there is an obstacle course set up with cones, poles, bridge and noodle gate.
