Growing up in this world is stressful and overwhelming, and it gets even harder when we have to deal with healing from difficult and hurtful experiences. Stress and overwhelm affects our relationships with family and friends, it affects how we do in school, and especially affects our self-image. It gets hard to figure out how to manage our thoughts and emotions and make decisions that are good for us and help us feel better, but there are things that we can do to make it easier, and they are fun and aren’t that hard to do.
True Body Project is a different way to look at wellness. We spend our time moving our bodies (think taking walks, dancing, and yoga), making crafts, and taking some time to talk about life (or not talk about life – you get to decide how much you share). We also try out meditation, and you’ll learn how to do it in a simple easy way. It’s all about exploring, so no need to have experience in any of these things already. It’s all about fun, and can help you feel more relaxed, help you think more clearly, and overall make you feel better.
