Join Once Upon an Orchestra at the Family Nurturing Center on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 3:00 for a free performance from the Louisville Orchestra! In partnership with the Louisville Free Public Library, Metro Louisville and the Library Foundation, the Louisville Orchestra presents Once Upon an Orchestra, a free concert series for multigenerational families featuring fun, interactive storytelling-through-music performances. The text from favorite children’s books and original stories are set to music performed by small LO ensembles – engaging children with the goals of increasing readiness for school and laying a foundation for a greater interest in music and creativity. They will be performing “Music of the Sea” composed by LO Creators Corps member TJ Cole.
